Michael "Mike" H. Gosnell

Michael “Mike” H. Gosnell, 79, of Huntington, passed away at 3:47 pm Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Parkview Huntington Hospital in hospice care. Mike was born on September 28, 1944, in Indianapolis, IN, the son of Hobart Gosnell and Rosemary (Miller) Gosnell. He graduated from Manual High School with the class of 1962. Mike proudly enlisted in the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He then married the love of his life, Sandra S Williams on August 17, 1969, in Indianapolis and were blessed with 2 children Wendi and Stephen. Mike retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Company after 30 years of loyal service. He had been a member of the American Legion of Indianapolis and later joined the American Legion Post # 7 of Huntington. Mike looked forward to fishing no matter the season, you could find him out on the lake during the summer or on the ice in the winter. He was a talented horseshoe player and enjoyed throwing darts with friends. Mike also liked to be outside, soaking up the sun, working in his yard and attending to his garden. He had a fantastic sense of humor and loved making others laugh with his jokes. Out of all his passions nothing was more important than his family and spending time making memories together. Mike had many titles throughout life nevertheless he was most proud of being a United States Navy Veteran, devoted Husband, supportive Father, and an adoring Grandfather & Great-Grandfather. Survivors include his loving Wife of 54 years, Sandra S Gosnell of Huntington, IN; Daughter, Wendi (Tracy) Biehl of Andrews, IN; Son, Stephen (Yolanda) Gosnell of El Cajon, CA; Grandchildren, Kaitlin, Nicholas, Antonio, Christopher; Great Granddaughter, Alora; Two Sisters, Laurie (Ralph) Accidental of AZ, Susan Johnson of FL. He is preceded in death by his Father, Hobart Gosnell, Mother, Rosemary Gosnell, Brother, Randall Gosnell, and Sister, Cindy Miller. Graveside Service will be Monday, July 15, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Gardens of Memory. Military Honors will be rendered by the VFW Post 2689 Honor Guard.
