Melanie R. Meyers

Melanie Rochelle Meyers, 51, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Melanie was born on June 8, 1974, in Huntington, IN, the daughter of Robert Burley and Sharon (Henly) Burley. She graduated from Huntington North High School with the class of 1992 and continued her education in journalism. On June 7, 1997, in Markle, Indiana, Melanie joyfully married Kenneth Lee Meyers, the love of her life, following their surprising love-at-first-sight meeting. They shared nearly 30 years building a life together and raising their two biggest blessings, their daughters Toriana & Tiana. Melaine worked as a Chief Financial Officer for many years and most recently was self-employed. Melanie discovered her passion for writing early in high school, where she began to create stories and express her artistry through words. Melaine truly loved animals, horseback riding, listening to music, and making crafts. She found great joy in spending time outdoors with her pets and always looked forward to discovering new creative projects. Music was a constant companion especially her favorite band Air Supply, bringing her comfort and inspiration throughout her days. She also spent much of her time tending to her hair and make-up which she took great pride in. Melanie & Kenneth are survived by their two loving daughters, Toriana (Daniel Lowes) Meyers of Huntington, IN, Tiana Meyers of Roanoke, IN; Melanie’s mother Sharon Burley of Roanoke, IN; Kenneth’s parents Noel and Cheryl Meyers of Twin Lake, MI; Melanie’s brother, Jason Burley of North Manchester, IN; Kenneth’s two sisters, Jill Martin of Twin Lakes, MI, Brenda Davis of Owosso, MI; many nieces and nephews. They are preceded in death by Melanie’s father, Robert W. Burley. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Adkins Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Adkins Bailey-Love Mortuary. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Huntington.
