Lydia Lou Pulley

Lydia Lou Pulley, 98, of Warren, formerly of Mt. Etna, IN, passed away at 12:04 pm Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Lydia was born on September 14, 1925 in Huntington, IN, the daughter of Don Shuman and Viola B. (Buzzard) Shuman. She graduated from Banquo High School and married John Paul Vickery on February 23, 1945 in Andrews, IN. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1947. She then married Lloyd "Jim" James Pulley on December 15, 1951 in Mt Etna, IN. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1982. Lydia worked for Dan's Fish Fry and in the cafeteria at Lancaster & Banquo Schools. She loved being outdoors tending to her yard and garden. Lydia enjoyed animals and feeding the birds. She was known for her homemade chicken and noodles, and playing solitaire. Survivors include her Two Daughters, Donnabelle LaBonte of Pasco, WA, Connie A. (Kevin) Kline of Huntington, IN; Three Grandsons, Andy LaBonte of Lafontaine, IN, Joseph LaBonte of Las Vegas, NV, Matt (Alicia) Kline of Burlington, NC; Four Granddaughters, Caroline LaBonte of Rialto, CA, Erin (Stuart) Wilkinson of Huntington, IN, Pam Etherton of Dayton, OH, Cindy (Jeff) Dixon of Dayton, OH; Thirteen Great Grandchildren,; and Two Great-Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Husband, John Paul Vickery, Husband, Lloyd "Jim" James Pulley, Father, Don Charles Shuman, Mother, Viola B. (Buzzard) Shuman, Son, F. William "Bill" Pulley, infant son, Lloyd James Pulley, Jr., Brother, Charles A. Shuman, Sister, Pauline G. Laux, and Sister, Goldie Gorrell. Visitation will be from 9:30 am - 11:30 am Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Chaplain John Moyer officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Etna Cemetery.
