Linda L. Chapin

Linda L. Chapin, 81, of Huntington, passed away peacefully at 1:13 pm Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. Linda was born on June 1, 1944, in Marion, IN, the daughter of Glenn Feazel and Marjorie (Carr) Feazel. She graduated from Anderson Highland High School with the class of 1962 Linda married the love of her life Jerry L. Chapin on March 1, 1964, in Huntington. They shared nearly 62 years of marriage and were blessed with two children Lisa and Christopher. Motivated by her deep affection for children, she dedicated 28 years to Andrews Elementary as a secretary. Also, Linda was a faithful member of the Markle Church of Christ for many years. Linda cherished the warm weather, which allowed her to spend time outdoors taking one of her leisurely walks. She found joy in reading novels and solving puzzles. Linda also enjoyed traveling with her husband and visiting beautiful beaches. Anyone that had the pleasure of knowing Linda understood her love for fashion and how she took pride in her appearance. She always dressed impeccably, with careful attention to every detail, and carried herself with elegance and grace. Linda’s family was truly the center of her life. She was a devoted wife, an encouraging mother, and a loving grandmother. The lasting legacy Linda leaves is defined by her kindness, warmth, and dedication to helping others. Survivors include her loving Husband, Jerry L Chapin of Huntington, IN; Daughter, Lisa (Lonnie) Snyder of Huntington, IN; Son, Christopher (Jeanine) Chapin of Noblesville, IN; Sister, Susan (Bud) Kramer of Huntington, IN; Grandchildren, Chelsi (Tyler) Bracht, Carly (Luke) Unger, Nick Chapin, Jessica (Noah) Krasnow; Great Grandchildren, Kamden Bracht, Callen Unger, Maelie Unger and two on the way. Also, another special member of the family that will miss Linda deeply is her furry companion, Dog Tia. She is preceded in death by her Father, Glenn E. Feazel and Mother, Marjorie L. Feazel. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Adkins Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, February 20, 2026, at Adkins Bailey-Love Mortuary with Blake Caley officiating. There will be one hour of visitation (Friday) prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
