Katrina Drayton

Katrina Drayton 38, born January 12, 1987, loving mother, wife, sister, niece, cousin, and dear friend passed away in her home January 30, 2025, at 9:15pm surrounded by family and friends. Born in Amarillo, TX to Paula Glover and John Reid, as a young child Katrina lived in Clovis, New Mexico then moving to Kokomo IN but most of her life was spent living in Huntington, IN. Katrina was a 2005 graduate of Huntington North High School. Her greatest accomplishment and joy was being Lily (16), Kale (12), and Makayla’s (9) mother. Her only mission in life was to provide a home of love and support for her children, the legacy she leaves behind proves that she did just this and so much more. She worked as an office manager for Bureau of Motor Vehicles, Lakeside Chevrolet, and CDT drywall. She married Brian Drayton on December 25, 2022, in her home with a private ceremony performed by her children and ordained by a close friend. They became a couple on May 28, 2010, and they were able to build a life together to be proud of. Katrina lived an unapologetic life without fear or regret. She empowered those around her to live life to its full potential, love the ones that matter fiercely, and to be present fully and completely in every moment that life gives you. Her favorite quote is “Strength is what we gain from the madness we survive.” Katrina is survived by her devoted and loving husband Brian Drayton and precious children Lily, Kale, and Makayla; Brother, Micah Glover of Kokomo; Aunt Jerra (Moreland) and “Uncle John” Kraning of Peru, IN; Cousins, Andrew Moreland of Bloomington, IN, Nickolas Moreland of Washington D.C., and Samantha Kennel of Kokomo, IN. Katrina is also survived by her in-laws, Patricia Drayton, Shandel Perkins, and Jake Drayton of Huntington, and many special friends who became family. She is preceded in death by her mother Paula Glover and Grandparents all of Kokomo. Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the Knights of Columbus, 2817 Theater Ave, Huntington, IN 46750, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Preferred memorials can be made to Brian Drayton, to assist with the children’s future, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN, 46750.
