Jerry E. Hall

Jerry Everett Hall, 76, of Huntington, passed away at 5:32 pm Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne, IN. Jerry was born on September 12, 1948, in Melvin, KY, the son of Curt Hall and Alvonia (Little) Hall. He graduated from Wheelright High School with the class of 1966 and enlisted in the United States Army. Jerry married Sharon R. Tackett on August 5, 1989, in Huntington, IN. They shared 32 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on January 14, 2022. He retired from American Electric Power (AEP) after 25 years of dedicated service. Jerry will be remembered as a man of immense charm and warmth, whose storytelling and wit brought joy to everyone around him. His ability to captivate words and humor was more than a talent—it was a gift that created lasting memories in the hearts of his family and friends. His garage became a place where jokes sparked laughter and friendships grew deeper. Jerry was a devoted family man and cherished every moment he shared with his loved ones. Among Jerry’s many talents, his passion for restoring cars stood out as a labor of love. Each vehicle he brought back to life was a true testament to his artistic craftsmanship and attention to detail. His love for NASCAR further showcased his affinity for the thrill and excitement of the automotive world. Jerry’s legacy will continue to shine through the laughter he inspired, the memories he created, and the lives he touched. He was a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and embraced life’s simple pleasures with an open heart and a joyful spirit. Survivors include his Daughter, Lori (Todd) Borton of Huntington; Step-Daughter, Tracy Mullins of Huntington, IN; Two Granddaughters, Raegan Graft of Huntington, Hunter (Brandon) Truex of Huntington, IN; Great Grandson, Huxley Truex; Brother, Mike Hall of Paintsville, KY; Three Sisters, Pat Boggs of Huntington, IN, Geri (Greg) Willis of Ashland, KY, Mitzi (Jeff) Burke of Weeksbury, KY; . He is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Sharon R. Hall, Brother, Bill Hall, and Sisters, Vernie Tackett & Fern Johnson, Visitation will be from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Friday, May 30, 2025, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, May 30, 2025, at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Jeff Wells officiating. Jerry’s final resting place will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
