Gloria M. Foster

Gloria M. Foster, 66, of Huntington, passed away at 7:56 am Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Gloria was born on April 5, 1959, in Huntington, IN, the daughter of Walter Sands and Irene (Millington) Sands. She graduated from Huntington North High School with the class of 1977. Gloria was united in marriage to the love of her life, Michael “Mike,” Foster on August 5, 1989, in the peaceful surroundings of Sunken Gardens in Huntington, IN. Before retiring in April of this year from Our Sunday Visitor, where she spent the last 10 years, she dedicated more than three decades to Bircraft Inc. Her career at Bircraft began as a carver, demonstrating her commitment and perseverance from the very start. Through hard work and determination, she steadily advanced within the organization, ultimately achieving the role of general manager. She remained in this leadership position until they closed their doors. Gloria also had been a past member of the American Legion Post #7 Auxiliary for many years. To say Gloria was one of a kind is an understatement. Her personality ranged from sometimes a little wild and mischievous to being content with the simple joys of home. Gloria found delight in playing video games, reveling in the challenge and adventure they offered. She treasured quiet evenings watching Lifetime movies and following the drama of Big Brother. Gathering with family to play cards was another of her favorite pastimes, always accompanied by the sound of laughter, heartfelt stories, and an adult beverage or two. Survivors include her loving Husband, Michael "Mike" Foster of Huntington, IN; Son, Aaron (Heather) Foster of Huntington, IN; Daughter, Aimee (Lou) Moore of Warsaw, IN; Eight Grandchildren, Zack, Jo, Courtney, Erin, Dawson, Chase, Blake, Brooke; Nine Great Grandchildren; Three Brothers, Kenny (Marcia) Sands of KS, Mike (Shannon) Sands of Huntington, IN, Greg (Michelle) Sands of Huntington, IN; Six Sisters, Cindy Myers of Huntington, IN, Pam (Steve) Barr of Richmond, IN, Denda (Alan) Brown of Huntington, IN, Barbara (Tom) Pierson of Hartford City, IN, Samantha (Jack) Barlow of Huntington, IN, Amy (Jeremy) Mygrant of Warren, IN; Sister-In-Law, Betsy Sands; and her two fur babies Tessa & Addie. She is preceded in death by her Father, Walter Sands, Mother, Irene Sands, Brother, Rod Sands, and Sister, Sandy Yoder. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Adkins Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Adkins Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Jason Fields officiating.
