Doris Jean Brumbaugh

Doris Jean Brumbaugh, 87, of Huntington, died at 2:25 am Friday, November 26, 2021, at Tipton Place of Huntington, IN. Doris was born on November 14, 1934, in Huntington, IN, the daughter of Ray Ware and Mary (Smith) Ware. She graduated from Huntington High School with the class of 1953. She married the love of her life, Charles D. Brumbaugh Jr. on September 1, 1956, in Central Christian Church of Huntington, IN. They shared 64 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on January 1, 2021. She was a member of the Faith Community Church of God in Huntington. Doris was a homemaker and helped her husband with a photography business 1978 to 2000. She enjoyed baking, fresh flowers and making homemade strawberry jam. She was always excited to see the hummingbirds each spring and made sure both feeders were full. She never missed her daily TV Shows and occasionally would work a crossword, or a word find puzzle. Her strong faith and love for her family was undeniable. She always had a smile and a hug ready to give. Survivors include her sons, Terry Lee (Diane) Brumbaugh of Huntington, Jerry W. (Teresa) Brumbaugh of Huntington, daughter, Cindy S. (Doug) Farlow of Fort Wayne, IN; grandsons, Adam (Chris R.) Brumbaugh of Lake Nona, FL, Christopher (Brittney) Brumbaugh of Huntington, Josh Wiley of Huntington, granddaughters, Jennifer Schumaker of Harlan, IN, Jessica Williams of Ft. Wayne, IN; ten great grandchildren, sisters, Janet Barkley of Huntington, Esther Denton of Huntington, Ann Dafforn of OH. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Brumbaugh Jr., father, Ray Ware, mother, Mary Ware, brothers, Paul Dwayne Ludwig, Charles Ware, Larry Eddingfield, Harold Ware and sister, Mary Yeiter. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at the Faith Community Church of God, 3615 North Norwood Road, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at the Faith Community Church of God with Pastor Dan First officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory cemetery Huntington County, IN.
