Dale R. Wine

Dale R. Wine, 68, of Huntington, passed away unexpectedly at 2:56 pm Saturday, October 5, 2024. Dale was born on July 23, 1956, in Huntington, IN, the son of James Wine and Wilma (Wesco) Wine. He graduated from Huntington North High School with the class of 1975. Dale married Julia Pressler on August 8, 2008, in Mexico Beach, FL. He retired from Graves Trucking of Ft. Wayne, IN. after several years of service. Dale was a member of the NRA, American Legion Post #160 of Roanoke, IN and Huntington Moose Lodge # 837 of Huntington. Dale was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to go fishing and hunting. He had lots of skills and was kind of a jack of all trades. Dale was always busy doing something or looking for his next project. He was a talker and enjoyed being around friends & family. Dale also was a dedicated NASCAR fan and traveled to many races to support his favorite drivers, Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Although Dale was many things to a lot of people his most important roles were being a devoted husband, a loving father and PawPaw. Survivors include his loving wife, Julia Wine of Huntington, IN; son, Christopher (Lindsay) Wine of Killeen, TX; stepdaughters, Tonya (Zachary) Franks of Huntington, IN, Tamara Dolby of Atlanta, MI; grandchildren, Daxton, Alexis, Walker, Gavin (Olivia), Autumn; brother, Dave (Teri) Wine of Auburn, IN; sisters, Dorene (Don) Cozad of Zionsville, IN, Diana (Patrick) Healey of Okemos, MI; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Richard & Wilma Maxine Wine, son, Anthony Wine, stepdaughter, Danielle M. Dolby, and brother, Daniel E. Wine, and nephew Sean Healey. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Monday, October 14, 2024, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Monday, October 14, 2024, at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Ed Hippensteel officiating. Entombment will be in Gardens of Memory.
