April Nicole Myers

April Nicole “Nikki/Chic” Myers, 45, of Huntington, passed away at 1:10 am Sunday, April 12, 2026 at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH. April was born on March 17, 1981 in Oklahoma City, OK, the daughter of Nick Hesson and Tammy (Pannell) DeWitt. She graduated from Huntington High School with the Class of 1999 and graduated from Ivy Tech in 2001. April was a proud, highly decorated Veteran of the United States Army National Guard serving combat tours in Kuwait and Iraq. After 20 years of being together, she married Jeffrey A. Myers on September 18, 2021 in Huntington, IN. April worked as First Assistant Surgical Tech at Parkview Regional Medical Center and also worked at the Retinal Institute in Ft. Wayne. She was a volunteer for Jamie's Legacy in Roanoke. April enjoyed everything. If she knew it made you happy then she was all in. She enjoyed camping, walking and exercising, and conversations with anyone, she knew no stranger. April loved spending as much time as possible with Sydney, on vacations or at home. She loved making lists and checking them off and journaling in her books for Syd. Laying on a beach was her serenity, whether ocean or lakes, she was happy. She created sunshine and rainbows just with a blessing of her presence, and will continue doing so. April was an avid Aldi lover as well. Survivors include her Husband, Jeffrey A. Myers of Huntington, IN; Daughter, Sydney Alise Myers of Huntington, IN; Mother, Tammy (Jerry) DeWitt of Arkansas; Sister, Jamie Weatherhead of Huntington, IN; Sister, Ryann Hesson of Arkansas; Brother, Jeral Hesson of Oklahoma; Niece/Daughter, Daisey Hesson of Huntington, IN; Niece, Chloe Price; Nephew, Jacob Bright; Aunt and Uncle/Honorary Parents, Sheila (Don) Brockhaus of Huntington, IN; Mother in Law & Father in Law, Evie (Mark) Keplinger of Huntington, IN; Grandson, Oliver Turner; and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews, In-Laws, a family of friends, and her amazing family of co-workers. She is preceded in death by her Father, Nick Hesson, Paternal Grandmother, Freida Hesson, Maternal Grandparents, Betty and JD Hall, and Grandmother, Donna Shaw. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Adkins Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Adkins Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Jeff Diamond officiating. Preferred memorials may be made in memory of April to her family, Jeff Myers.
