Sharon sent dozens of cards to friends and family every year and was never late with a birthday card. Survivors include her children, Tami (Jim) Ehinger of Springville, Chuck (Janelle) Vernon of Marion, Marda (Jeff) Johnson of Indianapolis, Michelle (Brian) Kelly of Scranton, Pa., and Renee' (Scott) Kirkpatrick of Huntington; 20 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a sister, Shirley (Richard) Harris of Fort Wayne; several nieces, and the Brunners, the Cooks and the Deans, neighbors who became family to Sharon and Chuck over the years. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 years, Charles Vernon, and grandson Justin Kirkpatrick. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to noon Thursday, Oct. 15, with funeral service at noon at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington. Please follow local recommendations for face covering and social distancing during all events.
