August 13, 1950 - January 21, 2022

Ronald DeWaine Tarr, 71, of Cabot succumbed to his illness on January 21, 2022, after a sudden heart event on Christmas Eve 2021. He was born August 13, 1950, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late Susanne Maurine and Roger Eugene Tarr. In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his eldest son, Joseph Tarr. He married his wife of fifty-two years, Twyla Jean Tarr, on December 13, 1969. After weeks of a loving witness to God’s saving grace was shown by his friend, Fred, Ronald accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour and was born again in his living room on December 18, 1978. Ronald then began to attend Waynedale Baptist Church. Following His Lord’s lead, he became assistant pastor at Roanoke Baptist Church in Indiana for thirteen years. In 1998, he continued his example of faithfulness in the Lord’s work when he joined Bible Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Arkansas. The Lord then led him to work at the Little Rock Air Force Base and later for defense contractors in support of our military overseas, where he retired in 2020 after sixteen years of dedicated service. Ronald is survived by his wife, Twyla Tarr of Cabot, Arkansas; his children, Michael (Julie) Tarr of Zanesville, Indiana, Jonathan (Candi) Tarr of Pensacola, Florida, Darryl (Lyndsey) Tarr of Indianapolis, Indiana, and MaKaylah (Ryan) Solis of Cabot, Arkansas; his loving daughter-in-law, Kimberly Tarr of Mesa, Arizona; his four siblings, Bruce Tarr of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Anita Chenoweth of Albion, Indiana, David (Holly) Tarr of Roanoke, Indiana, and Nila Dafforn of Ossian, Indiana; and his twelve grandchildren, Brianna (Steven) Perse, Caleb Tarr, Derek Tarr, Carolann Tarr, Jason Tarr, Jon Paul Tarr, Makenzie Tarr, Peyton Tarr, Addilyn Tarr, Connor Solis, Katelyn Solis, and Carson Solis. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Bible Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Lancaster Cemetery in Huntington IN, with Michael Tarr officiating. Bailey-Love Mortuary will be handling local services. The family asks that memorial donations be made in Ronald’s name to provide new school vans for both Cornerstone Baptist Academy in Indianapolis, IN and Jacksonville Christian Academy in Jacksonville, AR.
