Pauline C. Blocker

February 4, 1927 - April 16, 2022

Pauline C. Blocker, 95 of Huntington was received into heaven Saturday, April 16, 2022. She was born February 4, 1927, to William and Mary Keefer and graduated from Huntington Catholic High School in 1945. She married Robert Blocker on September 17, 1949, at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Huntington IN. They shared 54 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on August 16, 2004. As a life-time member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Pauline served in the Rosary Sodality (officer), choir member, funeral dinner prep/server, CCD instructor, RCIA team, Eucharistic Minister, and Open Door baker. She also served as president of the District Council of Catholic Women, sang with the Purdue Ladies Home Ec. Choir, and was a Cub Scout den mother. After the full-time job of raising her family, she became a nursing assistant, completing various certification courses in nursing and retired from Our Lady of Victory Noll Missionary Sisters after 15 years of service in 2003. While raising her family she assisted with the family business, Blocker AG Service, Inc. She loved having her extended family around the table and sharing meals, annual vacations, camping trips, church and school activities, attending children/grand-children’s sports, dance recitals, band concerts and grandparents days. Her passion was working in her flower beds, gardening and feeding others. Pauline is survived by her five children: Denny (Carla) of Huntington, Darrell (Jan) of Nashville TN, Diana McGinty of Winter Springs FL, David (Beth) of Huntington, Dan (Cindy) of Huntington; her brother Donald Keefer (Kay) of Ft. Wayne; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, brother Cornelius (Bill) Keefer (Helen), and sisters Dorothy Wellman (Alfred), Martha Keefer and son-in-law Joseph McGinty. Rosary service will be Wednesday, April 20th at 2:30 p.m., followed by visitation 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Bailey Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Dr., Huntington. Thursday, April 21st at 11:00 a.m. a Celebration of Life Mass with Fr. Tony Steinacker presiding. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service starting at 10:00 a.m. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN. Memorial donations may be made in Pauline’s name to Huntington Catholic School, 820 Cherry St., Huntington, IN 46750 Please sign the online guest book at www.baileylove.com.
