Gregory L. Karst

Gregory L. Karst, 76, of Huntington, passed away at 2:08 pm Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. Gregory was born on December 3, 1945, in Huntington, IN, the son of Richard Karst and Lilah (Cook) Karst. He graduated from Huntington Catholic School with the class of 1963. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and served in the National Guard for 20 plus years. Gregory retired from construction work after 20 years of being self-employed. He loved to tinker around and building model cars, mowing yards for his friends, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Carol Sue Karst; son, Shawn (Annmarie) Karst of Oshkosh, WI; daughter, Jennifer Klefeker of Columbia City, IN; three sisters, Donna Karst of Ft. Wayne, IN, Carol Karst of Huntington, IN, Debra Eckert of Huntington, IN; three brothers, Vince Karst of Holland, MI, Steve Karst of Ft. Wayne, IN, John Karst of Grand Rapids, MI; four grandsons, Damean Karst, Dillon Simmons, Dalton Simmons, Craig Klefeker; two granddaughters, Amy J. Karst, Christina Klefeker; and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Karst, mother, Lilah Karst, brothers, Donald Karst, Sr., Randy Karst, and Timothy Karst. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Bailey-Love Mortuary.
