Vicky L. Jines

Vicky L. Jines, 77, of Huntington, passed away at 6:00 pm Friday, October 21, 2022, at her daughter’s residence after a short illness. Vicky was born on August 29, 1945, in Huntington, IN, the daughter of James Beeks and Esther (Groves) Giddings. She attended Andrews High School and married the love of her life Daniel D. Jines on May 20, 1963, in Huntington, IN. They shared 38 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on October 28, 2001. She retired in 2008 from McGuff Roofing Inc. after 12 years of service as an administrative assistant. She was a member of the Abundant Fellowship Church of Huntington, IN. Vicky enjoyed playing games on her computer and visiting casinos occasionally. She liked to listen to music like Johnny Cash, watch old sitcoms and never missed her soap operas on TV. During the holidays she looked forward to making rock candy and taffy to share with others. She was a devoted Granny and loved spending time with her grandkids. Survivors include her daughter, Julie K. (William) McKinzie of Huntington, IN; two sons, Terry W (Cindy) Jines of Huntington, IN, Danny D Chambers of Spokane, WA; two sisters, Reba Webb of Ft. Wayne, IN, Tina Bradley of Andrews, IN; two brothers, Kevin Beeks of Andrews, IN, Gary Beeks of Andrews, IN; eight grandchildren, Tara McDaniel, Cody Jines, Alicia Jines, Amanda Ensign, Justin Jines, Stephanie Craft, Jacob Jines, Tobias Chambers; and 27 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, James Beeks, mother, Esther Giddings, stepmother, Jean Beeks, husband, Daniel D. Jines, son, Larry E. Jines, and grandson, William Joshua McKinzie. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Matt Snodderly officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service.
