Thomas "Tommy" E. Anders

Thomas “Tommy” Eugene Anders, 63, of Huntington, passed away unexpectedly at 7:33 pm Monday, December 9, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. Tommy was born on March 8, 1961, in Huntington, IN, the son of Kara “Bud” Anders and Charlotte (Flaugher) Anders. He graduated from Huntington North High School with the class of 1979 and then proudly enlisted in the United States Army. Tommy owned several small businesses and a few consignment shops. His true passion was being an Auctioneer. Tommy was a past member of the American Legion Post 85, Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the Jaycees all of Huntington. Anyone that knew Tommy would describe him as a jack of all trades. His handyman and mechanical skills were greatly appreciated by his family. Tommy was always willing to step up and help others when needed. He enjoyed being in nature, fishing, camping, hunting, sitting by a fire or star gazing. Tommy had a big personality and loved making others laugh. Above everything his family was the most important part of his life. He was a supportive father and a proud grandfather to his 11 grandchildren. Survivors include his children, Adam Anders of Huntington, IN, Ashley (Landon) Crittendon of Huntington, IN, Amanda (Clint Newsome) Anders of Huntington, IN, Nikki Mayo of Garrett, IN, Dalton (Tori) Anders of Bluffton, IN, Amaya (Justice Roach) Anders of Huntington, IN, Bryonne Bradley of Ft. Wayne, IN; sister, Dianna (Roger) Flaugh of Markle, IN; brother, Rocky (Tina) Anders of Huntington, IN; grandchildren, Ella, Noah, Mitchell, Bentlee, James, Jett, June, Lilly, Charliegh, Kodie and Janelle. He is preceded in death by his parents Kara “Bud” Anders and Charlotte Jean Anders. Celebration of Life Service will be held at the American Legion Post 85 on December 20, 2024, at 5:00 pm.
