Terry Ann Martin

Terry Ann Martin, 69, of Huntington, passed away at 9:09 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Terry was born on July 11, 1956, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of William and Marilyn Davis. She married Kraig Kauffman on July 6, 1974, in Huntington. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1984. Terry devoted much of her life to caring for others. She was a homemaker and later worked as a Home Health Aide for Advantage Home Health Care, where she continued her natural role as a caregiver. Terry was strong-willed, principled, and resilient. She faced many challenges in her life, yet always found a way forward with determination and grit. She had a clear sense of what she believed and held firmly to her convictions. Terry valued doing things well and took pride in being thoughtful and intentional in all she did. She also enjoyed a good conversation and was always willing to share her perspective, especially with those she loved. Alongside her strength, Terry had a warm and fun-loving spirit. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, spending time outdoors around a campfire, and relaxing with a game of Candy Crush. Most of all, she treasured time with her friends and family. Those who knew her well often heard her say that “cleanliness is next to godliness,” a phrase that reflected both her practicality and her sense of order. Terry’s faith was an important part of her life. She believed in Jesus Christ as her Lord, Savior, and Redeemer. She is survived by her four sons: Christopher P. (Angela) Kauffman of Huntington, Kenyon W. (Tara) Kauffman of Louisville, Kentucky, Brandon L. Davis of Fort Wayne, and Cody (Ashley Simms) Martin of Huntington. She also leaves behind seven beloved grandchildren: Chloe Kauffman, Caleb Kauffman, Scarlett Kauffman, Samuel Kauffman, Quentin Davis, Isaac Davis, and Freyja Martin. Terry is also survived by her brother, John (Melinda) Davis of Huntington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kraig Kauffman; her father, William Davis; her mother, Marilyn Davis; and her stepmother, Ann Davis. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
