Ruth Irene Moon

Ruth Irene Moon, 91, of Huntington, passed away at 8:05 am Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at The Waters of Huntington. Ruth was born on December 29, 1933 in Beaver, Ohio, the daughter of Ernest Ketcham and Ada (Blackman) Ketcham. She graduated from McLuney High School with the Class of 1952. She married Robert Brock on September 21, 1956, he passed away on October 20, 1982. She then married Glen Moon on September 30, 1989, he passed away on November 13, 2004. Ruth retired as the Lead Line Supervisor from Magnetek after 28 years of service. Ruth was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 7, and Eagles Lodge 232. Ruth loved her family, made sure to never miss Sunday Services and enjoyed reading the Bible and the Portals of Prayer. She was an avid lover of country music, enjoyed visiting the Grand Ole Opry, and playing cards. Her favorite drink she made that the family enjoyed was called Pink Slush. Survivors include her Son, Danny (Deborah) Brock of Huntington, IN; Grandchildren, David Brock (deceased), Eric Brock of Huntington, IN, Michelle (Scott) Sunderman of Fortville, IN, Jeff Brock of Huntington, IN; Six Great Grandchildren, Larson Brock, Nara Brock, Taven Brock, Aiden Brock, Emery Sunderman, Adalyn Sunderman; Sister, Lucille (Richard) Shaner of Thornville, OH; Three Step Grandchildren, Beth Ann Keck of Indianapolis, IN, Brian Lego of Indianapolis, IN, Billy Lego of Indianapolis, IN; and Nine Step Great Grandchildren, Billy, Jennifer, Christina, Jenny, Rachel, Steven, Sara, Erin, and Alyssa. She is preceded in death by her First Husband, Robert L. Brock, Husband, Glen J. Moon, Father, Ernest Ketcham, Mother, Ada Ketcham, Sister, Mary Noland, Sister, Elsie Blackman, Half Sister, Helen Pettet, Brother, Lloyd Ketcham, Half Brother, John Ketcham, Half Brother, Gene Ketcham, and Stepdaughter, Beverly Hoffmeister. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Timothy Lorenz officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Huntington.
