Rose M. Caudill

Rose Marie Caudill, 85, of Andrews, passed away at 7:32 pm Friday, February 21, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. Rose was born on August 18, 1939, in Weeksbury, Kentucky, the daughter of Joe Tackett and Lula (Thompson) Tackett. She graduated from Wheelwright High School with the class of 1958. Rose married Glen D. Caudill on February 25, 1961, in Clintwood, VA. They shared 33 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on April 12, 1994. She previously worked at GEMCO factory in Andrews, IN as an upholsterer and supervisor. She then went on to work for Dana Corp and retired after 15 years of loyal service. Rose was a faithful member of the Bethesda Freewill Baptist Church since 1977. Rose’s love for the Lord overflowed into every aspect of her life. She never spoke a bad word or judged anyone for the decisions they made. Rose was a true friend to everyone and wouldn’t hesitate to help anyone in need. She had a great sense of humor, was quick witted, and lit the room with her smile. Rose enjoyed taking family photos and turning them into albums, researching her family tree, and listening to music. Rose’s passion and devotion to those she loved was unwavering and will forever be cherished. Survivors include her loving sons, Kenneth (Renea) Caudill & Greg Caudill all of Andrews, IN; 5 grandchildren, Brandon (Haley) Mosley, Braxton (Erica) Keyser, Ryan (Michelle) Caudill, Joshua Caudill, Antonio Velez, Katie Velez and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, David Tackett of Malvin, KY; and 4 sisters, Fannie Johnson of Banner, KY, Christine Clark of Andrews, IN, Wanita Slone of Melvin, KY, Bea Moore of Melvin, KY. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe P Tackett and Lula Tackett, husband, Glen D. Caudill, daughter, Lisha Keyser, 5 brothers, Charles Tackett, Carl Tackett, Raymond Tackett, Aubrey Tackett, Billy Tackett, and 6 sisters, Betty Meadows, Alpha Jean Crittendon, Mary Gillespie, Sylvia Tackett, Lorene Tackett, and Loretta McCray. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Bethesda Freewill Baptist Church, 116 South Main Street, Andrews, IN. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Bethesda Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Lou Hunt officiating. Rose’s final resting place will be in Andrews Riverside Cemetery in Andrews, IN.
