Linda S. Sellers

Linda S. Sellers, 62, of Huntington, passed away at 6:45 pm Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. Linda was born on November 21, 1961, in Huntington, IN, the daughter of Frederick Eckert and June (Stoffel) Eckert. She attended Huntington Catholic High School. She was a CNA for over 30 years, many of which she spent working at Miller’s Merry Manor in Huntington. She also worked for Majestic for a number of years. Her number one hobby was anything to do with bargain shopping, she loved to find the best deals. This hobby of hers led her to being in the Huntington County Auction Group where she was a very involved member. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, Linda would attend any and all of their extracurricular activities. Linda was also an avid animal lover, having fostered many dogs over the years. She was also known to feed the neighborhood cats and the squirrels that came into her yard, she even gave names to the squirrels that would frequently come visit her. Linda had a heart of gold, there wasn’t a moment that she wasn’t thinking about someone else. She loved to do anything to help others. Her friends and family will miss her dearly and remember her thoughtful and giving spirit. Survivors include her three daughters, Janel L. (Corey) Gill of Huntington, IN, Krista M. (Josh Lewis) Sandlin of Huntington, IN, and Carrie A. Sellers of Huntington, IN; Son, Jordan R. (Megan Frankle) Steele of Huntington, IN; Three grandchildren, Kendra, Carson, and Kamille; Brother, Mark Eckert of Huntington, IN; Three sisters, Brenda (Tom) Shaw of Huntington, IN, Donna Eckert of Huntington, IN, and Theresa (Mark) Kitt of Roanoke, IN. She is preceded in death by her Son, Tyler W. Sellers, Father, Frederick A. Eckert, Mother, June M. Eckert, and Brother, Paul Eckert. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Jason Fields officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Huntington.
