Linda Jo Kreiger

Linda Jo Kreiger, 84, of Warren, passed away at 6:08 am Friday, June 26, 2026 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Linda was born on May 18, 1942 in Bluffton, IN, the daughter of Ralph Brown and Vernice (Haynes) Brown Paul. She graduated from Huntington Township High School with the class of 1960 and married John H. Kreiger on August 12, 1962 at College Park Church in Huntington, IN. Linda worked at the Huntington County Welfare Department, the United Brethren Headquarters, and then she worked at Our Sunday Visitor. She was a member of New Hope United Brethren Church for over 35 years before moving to Warren. Linda was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association for 15 years and rode her own Gold Wing Motorcycle in 48 states. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading, painting, crocheting, cross stitch, gardening, traveling, and leading bible study. Survivors include her Husband, John H. Kreiger of Warren, IN; Three Daughters, Sheryl Ann (Ken) Hippensteel of Huntington, IN, Debra Kay (Chris) Shoptaw of Huntington, IN, Julie Lynn (Mitch) Trout of Warren, IN; Son, John Michael Kreiger of Markle, IN; Four Granddaughters, Holly (Michael) Clabaugh, Heather (Nick) Forth, Hannah (Nathan) Comfort, Marissa Trout; Six Grandsons, Steven (Rayna) Shoptaw, Lucas (Jessica) Shoptaw, Brent Kreiger, Drew Kreiger, Garrett Trout, Dillon (Abby Ruzas) Trout; Eleven Great Grandchildren; Brother-In-Law, Ed Kline of Huntington, IN; and Sister-In-Law, Melody (Brown) Williams of Warren, IN. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Vernice Paul, Father, Ralph Brown, Step- Father, Mark Paul, Brother, Alan Brown, Sister, Sandra Kline. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Adkins Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, July 2, 2026 at Adkins Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Gerald Moreland and Pastor Ray Seilhamer officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Huntington.
