Janet A. Kahn

Janet Ann Kahn, 86, of Huntington, passed away at 11:46 pm Monday, December 18, 2023, at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Janet was born on January 27, 1937, in Huntington, IN, the daughter of Claude Monroe Hoover and Cora (Wamsley) Hoover. She graduated from Huntington High School with the class of 1955. Janet married Jack Duane Kahn on April 17, 1955, in Huntington, IN.; he preceded her in death on October 27, 2010. Janet attended Gethsemane Ministries Church and really enjoyed going when she was able to attend. Janet was a member of the Fisher Body Sympathy Club in Marion, IN. She enjoyed watching IU basketball, reading, doing word search puzzles, and horseback riding. She loved hosting her family at her house, and she was known to be a great cook. In her younger years, Janet and Jack would go square dancing together. Survivors include her Son, Steven A. (Julie) Kahn of Roanoke, IN; Two Daughters, Karen S. Bickel of Huntington, IN, Joan D. (Tony) Arroyo of Englewood, OH; Six Grandchildren, Miranda, Holly, Logan, Natalie, Ryan and Aaron; Two Great Grandchildren, Kiara and Layla. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Jack Duane Kahn, Father, Claude M. Hoover, Mother, Cora J. Hoover, Daughter, Brenda Ann Ruble, Sister, Louise Herrick, Sister, Mae Bieghler, Sister, Maridean Converse, Brother, Charles D. Hoover, Brother, James M. Hoover, and Brother, Herbert L. Hoover. Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Friday, December 22, 2023, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, December 22, 2023, at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Worlie Newsome Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
