Anne E. Malone

Anne E. Malone, 81, of Huntington, passed away at 12:20 am Friday, January 12, 2024, at Stillwater Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, IN. Anne was born on September 15, 1942, in Huntington, IN, the daughter of H. Willard Hildebrand and Anna (Benson) Hildebrand. She graduated from Huntington Township School with the class of 1960 and received an associate degree in nursing from Huntington College. Anne married the love of her life Donald R. Malone on April 8, 1962, in Huntington, IN. They shared 59 years of marriage before he proceeded her in death on October 2, 2021. Anne held many positions for Huntington County Government including Huntington County Clerk. She was a dedicated member and Leader of Women’s Fellowship at St. Peter's First Community Church of Huntington. Anne was active in the Red Hat Society, Huntington County Democratic Party Women’s Caucus, AIC Member, past President of Indiana Clerks Association and past President of her sorority ESA. Anne loved being a grandmother more than anything in the world. She was selfless and always wanted to help others in need. Anne had the same characteristics as her favorite flower, the sunflower. She represented hope, warmth, strength, loyalty, and happiness. Survivors include her Son, Shawn P. Malone of Huntington, IN; Daughter, Shelley Jo (Philip Hibbert) Septer of Huntington, IN; Brother, James E. (Cindy) Hildebrand of Huntington, IN; Sister, Donetta Betz of Ft. Wayne, IN; Four Granddaughters, Allison Coleman of Columbia City, IN, Gabrielle (Seth) Doctor of Huntington, IN, Sarah Malone of MO, Cheyann (Zach) Rumsyre of Columbia City, IN; Grandson, Jacob Malone Septer of SC; Great Granddaughter, Larrel Ray Coleman; Two Great Grandson, Henry Doctor and Cayden Rumsyre. She is preceded in death by her Father, H. Willard Hildebrand, Mother, Anna Hildebrand, Brother, Burdell Hildebrand, Granddaughter, Kaitlyn Septer, Grandson, John "Zachery" Septer. Visitation will be from 9:30 am – 11:30 am Saturday, January 20, 2024, at St. Peter’s First Community Church 206 Etna Ave, Huntington, IN 46750. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 am.
