Alice C. Sell

Alice C. Sell, 94, of Huntington, passed away at 11:39 pm Saturday, September 6, 2025, at her residence. Alice was born on February 14, 1931, in New Point, IN, the daughter of Fred Meyer and Ethel (Miller) Meyer. She graduated from Napoleon High School with the class of 1949. Alice continued her education at Ball State University where she received her Bachelors and Masters degree in Education. Alice met Jack G. Sell while at Ball State University, they married on December 27, 1952, in Greensburg, IN; he preceded her in death on December 10, 2019. She retired from Huntington County Community School Corporation after 39 years of service. Alice and Jack were both very passionate about serving the community and volunteering wherever they were needed. She was a part of the Huntington County Retired Teachers Association, Forks of the Wabash Board, very active at New Hope United Church of Christ, and several other groups. Alice was a very talented seamstress, who knew no limits on altering and creating. She enjoyed cooking, watching the grandchildren succeed in their activities, and spending time with family. Survivors include her Daughter, Elizabeth A. (Carl) Ring of Ft. Wayne, IN; Son, Michael E. (Brandy) Sell of Bippus, IN; Six Grandchildren, Adam (Lynnette), Nicole (Justin), Megan (Robert), Amy (Mark), Emily (Joe), Wes (Molly); Fifteen Great Grandchildren; Four Great Great Grandchildren; Sister-In-Law, Mary Sell of Warren, IN. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Jack Garland Sell, Father, Fred J.C. Meyer, Mother, Ethel Marie Meyer, Brother, Donald Meyer, and Sister, Grace Kessens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Adkins Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, September 12, 2025, at New Hope United Church of Christ with Pastor Larry Holderbaum and Pastor Jill Miller officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service.
