Obituary for Julia E. Reeves
Julia E. Reeves, age 88, of Huntington, died at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday (March 3, 2010) at University Park Health and Rehab in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Julia was born on November 12, 1921 in Rich Valley (Wabash County), Indiana to Marion A. and Tina (Hartleroad) Marks. She married Harold E. Reeves on November 12, 1939 in Huntington, and he survives.
Julia was a homemaker for many years. She was also a Nurses Aid at the Huntington Memorial Hospital for 6 years and worked for Dolby Dry Cleaners in Huntington. Julia attended the Northview Church of Christ in Huntington and was a member of the O.E.S. Floral Chapter #75.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years – Harold Reeves of Huntington; two sisters – Barbara D’Amelio of Florida and Wilma Lighthill of Denver, Colorado; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son – John H. Reeves, and one daughter – Sue Ann Treft.
Visitation will be from 11a.m. - 1 p.m. Monday (March 8, 2010) at Bailey-Love Mortuary. The funeral service will then be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday (March 8, 2010) also at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Del Hamon officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County.
