Jerry D. Storie, age 65, of Huntington, died at 5:37 p.m. Thursday (February 25, 2010) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Jerry was born on October 13, 1944 in Decatur, Alabama to Hugh A. and Mary E. (Holbert) Storie. He married Emma Jean Miller on January 15, 1975 in Fort Myers, Florida. Jerry retired from construction working at various locations in Huntington and Fort Myers.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years – Jean Storie of Huntington; five sons – Jerry Don (Penny) Dowdy of Huntington, Christopher D. (Tammy) Storie of Huntington, Dominic F. Storie of Huntington, Jason W. Storie of Huntington and Jeff A. (Tessi) Storie of Huntington; one step-son – Casey A. Scher of Huntington; one brother – Calvin J. (Beatrice) Storie of Huntington; three sisters – Pearl Mahathy of Decatur, Alabama, Helen (Melvin) French of Decatur, Alabama and Brenda Fore of Huntington; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His parents, brothers – James Storie, Wesley Storie and Wayne Storie; and sisters – Virginia Caperton and Dorothy Storie, precede him in death.

Visitation will be 3 - 7 p.m. Monday (March 1, 2010) at the Bailey-Love Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday (March 2, 2010) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Mark Hoffer officiating. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory.
