Obituaries

Wilma Grace Bicknell, age 68, died Sunday (August 14, 2005) at 4:45 pm at Miller’s Merry Manor in Huntington.

Mrs. Bicknell was a former Certified Nurse’s Assistant in Gainsville, FL and had also worked at the Y.M.C.A. in Marion. She will be remembered for her piano playing and arts and crafts. She graduated from Elkhart High School in 1954 and a 1982 graduate of Dorsey Business College in Trenton, MI. A resident of Huntington since 2001, she was a member of the Faith Community Church of God in Huntington. She was also a former resident of North Manchester, IN.

Mrs. Bicknell was born the daughter of Annon J. Miller and Cathleene (Neely) Dunn on November 21, 1936 in Concord Township, Elkhart County, IN.

Survivors include 3 sons – Chuck Harris (Karen) of Markle, IN, Daniel Lee (Dawn) Harris of Auburn, IN and Keith (Jeanette) Harris of Claypool, IN; 1 brother – Annon Miller of Mishawaka, IN; and 10 grandchildren. Sisters, Betty Rinke and Allene Reaves, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 9 – 11 am Wednesday (August 17, 2005) at Bailey-Love Mortuary. A memorial service will follow at 11 am Wednesday (August 17, 2005) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Stephen Stull officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Elkhart, IN.

Contributions in memory of Wilma Grace Bicknell may be made to the Cancer Services for Huntington County or to the Faith Community Church of God in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN 46750.
