Obituaries   

     Willadeen V. Moffitt., age 87, of 542 A Hitzfield Street, Huntington IN, died Friday (October 14, 2005) at 8:40 a.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital.  

     Mrs. Moffitt was a registered nurse who worked at Huntington Memorial Hospital for over 38 years and she retired in 1980.  

     Mrs. Moffitt was born on May 30, 1918 in Lancaster Township, Huntington County, the daughter of Walter J. Owen and Nora May (Paul) Owen. She married Robert P. Moffitt on June 15, 1957 in Huntington, he preceded her in death on June 10, 1969.        

     Mrs. Moffitt was a member of Loon Creek Church of the Brethren Huntington, IN. She was a 1942 Graduate of Manchester College with a B.A. degree in biology, and also a 1942 graduate with a R.N. degree of nursing from the Ft. Wayne Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. 

     Survivors include one brother M.J. Owen of Pharr, TX, one nephew Robert J. Owen  of Arlington, TX. One sister Wilma Owen precedes her in death.              

     There will be no visitation and no funeral service. Burial will be at a later date in the Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
