Vickie Yvonne Ham, age 55, 7647 N. Barrington Road, Decatur, died at 2:40 p.m. Friday (May 23, 2008) at the Adams County Memorial Hospital in Decatur.

     Mrs. Ham worked for Gerber’s Fine Foods in Decatur.  Prior to that, she worked at PC Concepts and United Technologies.  She was graduate of Wayne High School in Chicago IL and attended IVY Tech.

     Vickie was born on December 1, 1952 in Huntington.  She was raised by William and Helen (Walters) Simmons.  She married Wendell L. Ham, Jr. on January 31, 1994 in Bluffton.  He preceded her in death on June 13, 1997.

     Survivors include her mother – Helen Simmons of Huntington; companion – Bob Noack of Decatur; two brothers – Ronald Simmons of Lake Barbee and David Simmons of Fort Wayne; three sisters – Robin Simmons of Canton, OH, Mrs. Mike (Barbara) Fisher of Huntington, and Mrs. Leslie (Tammy) Fernandes of Hagerstown, MD.  She was preceded in death by her father, William Simmons.

     Visitation will be on Wednesday (May 28, 2008) from 3-7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary.  Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday (May 29, 2008) at the Bailey-Love Mortuary with Captain Sell officiating.

     Memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to the Shriners Hospital in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive Huntington, IN.
