Ronald Lee Morris, Sr., age 59, 845 Grayston Avenue, Huntington, died Monday (December 12, 2005) at 2:20 a.m. at his home.

     A lifetime resident of Huntington, Mr. Morris worked for Centennial Wireless Communications for seven years.  He was the manager for Pizza Hut in Huntington and Wabash for over 20 years.  Ron was a past president of the former Exchange Club, past commander of the American Legion Post #7 and the 40 et 8, all of Huntington.  He loved to race remote control cars and boats, golf, going fishing and trains.

     Mr. Morris was born in Connersville, IN, on June 30, 1946, the son of the late Raymond E. and Rosemary (LaVine) Morris.  He was a graduate of Huntington High School.  Mr. Morris was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, serving two tours in Vietnam.  On September 1, 1999, in Huntington, he married Kathy Dimond and she survives.  

     Survivors include a son – Ronald Lee (Darcy) Morris, Jr. of Huntington; a daughter – Jessica Morris of Tampa, FL; two – stepsons Brian (Gina) Rentschler of Ft. Wayne, IN and Nathan (Andrea) Rentscheler of Huntington; two brothers – Raymond E. (Joan) Morris of Huntington and James E. (Jena) Morris of Huntington and five grandchildren.  A sister, Gladys Morris, preceded him in death.  

     Visitation will be 2-8 pm Wednesday (December 14, 2005) at Bethel Assembly of God, 1640 E. Taylor St., Huntington.  Funeral services will be at 10 am Thursday (December 15, 2005) at Bethel Assembly of God with Pastor Jeff Carrell officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Peter’s First United Church of Christ Cemetery, Huntington, IN and the V. F. W. Post #2689 will perform the military graveside rites.
