Robert E. Pearson, age 78, of Lake City, Florida, died Wednesday (September 27, 2006) at his home.

     Mr. Pearson worked for many years as a supervisor at the former Schacht Rubber Company in Huntington before moving to Florida.  He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Marine Corps.

     Mr. Pearson was born on June 23, 1928 in Huntington to Edward C. and Ruby (Bailey) Pearson.  On October 31, 1954, in Andrews, he married Marline Hendricks and she survives in Florida.

     Survivors include two sons – Dennis (Tammy) Hendricks of Sweetser, IN and Robert M. (Barbara) Pearson of Wabash, IN; two brothers – Herbert J. (Jeannine) Pearson of Decatur, IN and Rex A. (Marsha) Pearson of Huntington; one sister – Marjory (Donald) Ramsey of Huntington; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  A son, James Hendricks, and brother, Gerald Pearson, preceded him in death.

     A family graveside service and burial will be at a later date at Andrews Riverside Cemetery, Andrews, IN.  Bailey-Love Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
