Robert L. Cummins, age 77, of Huntington, died at 12:46 p.m. Monday (June 30, 2008) at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.

     Robert was born to Leroy and Avis (Lucas) Cummins, on April 11, 1931 in Connersville, IN.

     Mr. Cummins was a 1949 graduate of the Bentonville High School in Bentonville, IN. Robert then attended Bible College for three years. Mr. Cummins married Emma L. (Mann) on September 16, 1978 in Markle.   Robert was a self-employed/owner of “Cummins Home Service” in Huntington for over forty years.

     Survivors include his wife of twenty-nine years – Emma L. Cummins of Huntington; five daughters – Mrs. Doug (Avis) Hiller of Urbana, OH, Mrs. Mark (Cindy) McKay of Nolensville, TN, Sue Asher of Eton, IN, Mrs. David (Becky) Kersy of Huntington, IN, and Mrs. Jesse (Tami) Glenn of Hamilton, IN;  three step-sons – Morris (Debera) Pierson of Huntington, Carl (Sherry) Pierson of Huntington, and Jimmie (Donna) Pierson of Huntington; one brother – James Cummins of Connersville, IN; twenty-nine grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.

     No visitation or services. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
