Rickie L. Proffitt, age 49, of Roanoke, died Saturday  (December 16, 2006) at 1:10 p.m. at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Ft. Wayne.

     A resident of Roanoke for 15 years, she was employed as a machine adjuster  at Our Sunday Visitor for 10 years, and member of Gethsemane Ministries in Huntington.

     Rickie was born on February 22, 1957 in Pineville, KY., the daughter of Pearl and Cora (Miracle) Taylor.

     Surviving are two daughters – Angela ( Heath ) Stettler of Huntington and Christa ( Gregory ) Goff of Roanoke, 1 Granddaughter, Taylor Stettler.  1 Sister- Tiwani Grimm and 2 Brothers – McKinley Taylor and Charles Taylor, all of Middlesboro, KY.

     She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Phyllis Taylor.

     Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Monday ( December 18, 2006 ) at Gethsemane Ministries, 2239 Hartman Street, Huntington, IN.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (December 19, 2006) with one hour of visitation prior to services at Gethsemane Ministries with Pastor Worlie Newsome Jr. officiating. Cemetery arrangements are pending.
