Rex W. Buzzard, age 76, 5182 West 100 North, Huntington, died Monday (March 6, 2006) at his residence.

     Mr. Buzzard was a lifetime farmer and resident of Huntington County.  He also worked for Friction Materials Inc., Huntington, from 1965 till he retired in 1995 as an electrician and past president of the Local 340 UAW.  He was a 1947 graduate of Lincolnville High, Wabash Co., IN.

     Mr. Buzzard was born on June 25, 1929 in Huntington, IN, the son of Elbridge and Laura (Kocher) Buzzard.  He married Freda Bockmon on March 3, 1950 in Wabash, IN. 

     Survivors include his wife of 56 years – Freda Buzzard of Huntington; a son – Randy K. Buzzard of Huntington; a daughter – Pamela K. Morton of Huntington; three brothers – Dean Buzzard of Grand Blanc, MI, Roger Buzzard of Huntington, and Murl Buzzard of Huntington; two grandchildren – Brad Buzzard and Wade Buzzard; five nephews and three nieces.  Mr. Buzzard was preceded in death by a brother, Wallace Buzzard.

     There will be no calling or services. A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date at Gardens of Memory, Huntington County. Memorials to Parkview Home Health Care and Hospice care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive Huntington, IN.
