Obituaries

     Ralph E. Vardaman, age 89, of Miller’s Merry Manor, Huntington, IN, died at 10:40 am on Wednesday (November 23, 2005) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

     Mr. Vardaman was born November 18, 1916, in Huntington, IN, the son of the late George and Anna (Krieger) Vardaman.  He married Zelda Rena Sonner in Ft. Wayne, IN, in 1945 and she survives.

     Survivors include two daughters, four grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.  Brothers, Kenny and Harry Vardaman, and sisters, Bernice McBride & Helen Stouder, preceded him in death.

     There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.  Burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery in Roanoke, IN. 

     Memorial contributions may be made to the Huntington V.F.W. Post # 2689 Convalescent Fund in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN  46750.
