Pearl Z. Sands, age 83, of 3720 North Norwood Road, Huntington, died at 11:22 p.m. Wednesday (July 4, 2007) at the Parkview Huntington Hospital.

     Pearl was a homemaker and lived in Huntington most of her life.  She was born on March 17, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Pearle Hovick Loughrige and Antonnette Josephine Walpoviake. Pearl married Donald M. Sands on February 14, 1947 in Huntington. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1999.

     Survivors include her daughter – Janet Lee Jones of Dublin, Georgia, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter. Three sister-in-laws – Rosemary Zeller, Betty Broxon and Dondas Carpenter and three brother-in-laws – Gary Sands, Larry Sands, all of Huntington, and Bob Sands of Andrews, survive also.

     Visitation will be from 9 – 11 a.m. Saturday (July 7, 2007).   Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday (July 7, 2007) with Pastor Russell Buzzard officiating.  Burial will be in the Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County.
