Obituaries   

     Norman D. Swihart, age 46, 1716 Park Street, Huntington, died Tuesday (September 13, 2005) at 9:48 pm at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne.

     Mr. Swihart worked for Walker Manufacturing in Ligonier until 1996.  He was a 1977 graduate of Central Noble High School in Albion, IN.

     Mr. Swihart was born June 23, 1959, in Huntington, IN, the son of the late Richard S. and Betty I. (Farley) Swihart. 

     Survivors include 2 brothers – Richard A. Swihart of Huntington, IN and William E. (Deb) Swihart of Huntington, IN; a sister – Mrs. Gerald (Linda) Carpenter of Huntington, IN; 2 nephews – Gerald Carpenter, Jr of Huntington, IN and Shawn Swihart of Huntington, IN and 1 niece – Amanda Swihart of Roanoke, IN.  A niece, Julie Glassburn, preceded him in death. 

     Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Friday (September 16, 2005) at Bailey-Love Mortuary.  Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Saturday (September 17, 2005) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Larry Taylor officiating.  Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County. 

     Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or Muscular Dystrophy Association in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN  46750.
