Obituaries

     Mary M. Wiley, 93, 801 Huntington Avenue, Warren, died at 6:10 a.m. Monday (January 21, 2008) at Heritage Pointe in Warren where she had been residing.

     Mrs. Wiley retired from the Huntington County Courthouse after 16 years as a Deputy Auditor and Deputy Recorder.  She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Huntington County.  Mary was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Huntington  and taught Sunday School for over 50 years.

     Born January 17, 1915 in Polk Township, Huntington County, she was the daughter of Istria I. and Emma J. (Campbell) Alexander. Mary graduated from Monument City High School in 1932.  She married I. H. Wiley on January 10, 1934 in Mt. Etna and he preceded her in death on October 3, 2002.

     Survivors include two sons – James R. (Janet) Wiley of Huntington and Jerry C. (Alice) Wiley of Huntington; three daughters – Carol (Norman) Zurcher of Huntington, Nancy Wiley of Ft. Wayne and Marilyn (Kenneth) Pientka of Middleton, Wisconsin; one brother – Charles Alexander of Warren, 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.  Two brothers, Royal Alexander and Arthur Alexander, and a sister, Nola Ridenour, preceded her in death.

     Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday (January 24, 2008) at Bailey-Love Mortuary.  Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday (January 25, 2008) at First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Road, Huntington, with 1 hour of visitation prior to the service.  Rev. Lane Fosnaugh and Rev. Dane Mathews will officiate.  Burial will follow at Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County.

     Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene Building Fund or to Family Hospice of Northeastern Indiana in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN  46750.
