Mary E. Reiff, age 96, Warren, formerly of 22 Jackson St, Andrews, died Friday (March 24, 2006) at 8:35 a.m. at the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren, IN.

     Miss Reiff was a teacher for over 40 years with the last of her employment being with South Side High School in Ft. Wayne, IN where she taught Latin for 25 years and retired in 1974.   She had resided at the Andrews address since 1913 until her move to Warren in 2001.  She was a member of the Andrews First Christian Church.  Miss Reiff was born November 22, 1909 in Andrews, IN, the daughter of Lewis W. and Hazel (Schofield) Reiff.  She graduated from Andrews High School in 1926 and received her teaching degree from the University of Michigan in 1931.  She also received a honorary doctorate degree from Huntington College in Classical Literature and studied Literature in Rome, Italy.

     There are no immediate survivors.

     Visitation will be 1-2 pm Tuesday (March 28, 2006) at the United Methodist Memorial Home, 801 Huntington Avenue, Warren, IN.  Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday (March 28, 2006) at the United Methodist Memorial Home with Rev. Jerry Felts officiating.  Burial will be in the Andrews Riverside Cemetery, Andrews, IN.
