Marjory I. Smith, age 84, 1403 North 800 West, Andrews, IN, died Sunday (January 7, 2007) at 7:32 p.m. at the Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.

     Marjory worked at the former Kitchen Maid in Andrews and was the former owner of the Townhouse Café Restaurant in Andrews. She was a member of the Dora Christian Church and American Legion Auxiliary in Lagro, IN.  Marjory was a 1941 graduate of Monument City High School.

     Marjory was born on October 31, 1922 in Huntington County, the daughter of  Louis and Francis Stephan.  She married Lawrence J. Bitzer in 1941 in Huntington County and he preceded her in death in 1951.  Her second marriage was to Noble Dale Smith in 1953 in Hartford City, IN.  He preceded her in death in 1993.

     Surviving is one son – Frederick (Marcia) Smith of Andrews, IN; and two grandsons – Brandon and Preston Smith both of Andrews.  Three brothers – Harold Stephan, Howard Stephan, and Carl Stephan, preceded Marjory in death.

     Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday (January 9, 2007) at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (January 10, 2007) at the mortuary with one hour of visitation prior to services. Pastor Bill Cook will officiate.  Burial will be in the Andrews Riverside Cemetery, Andrews.
