Obituaries
Marjorie Elizabeth Bennett, age 89, 1026 College Avenue,
Huntington, died Tuesday (August 14, 2007) at 7:55 p.m. at
Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Huntington. Marjorie was a member of the Central Christian Church and past member of the Women of the Moose and Eastern Star, all in Huntington. She graduated from Huntington High School in 1935.
Marjorie was born on December 7, 1917, in Huntington, the daughter of Ray Emery and Maranda Elinore (Holmes) Snider. She married Charles W. Bennett on December 14, 1935 in Huntington. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1987.
Survivors include a son – Gary L. Bennett of Huntington; two daughters – Janna (Jack) Gordon of Churubusco, IN and Val (Dennis) Hanson-Houser of Huntington; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. A brother – Kyle Edger Snider, a sister – Lucille Smith, and a grandson – Cory Wade Hanson, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be 10 – 11 a.m. Friday (August 17, 2007) at the Bailey-Love Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday (August 17, 2007) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Dr. Sam Young officiating. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory, Huntington County.
