Obituaries   

     Margaret Elnora Marshall, age 88, died Tuesday (August 30, 2005) at 4:45 a.m. at the United Methodist Memorial Home, Warren, where she resided.

     Mrs. Marshall was a homemaker and helped her husband on their Warren Township farm.  She also worked at the United Methodist Memorial Home for several years.  A resident of Huntington County since 1945, Mrs. Marshall was a member of College Park United Brethren in Christ Church and the Warren Township Home Demonstration Club.

     Mrs. Marshall was born on September 28, 1916 in Grant County, the daughter of Verlie H. and Cora E. (Phillippe) Mills. She graduated from Swayzee High School, Swayzee, IN, in 1934.  Mrs. Marshall married H. Dale Marshall on June 9, 1934 in Grant County and he preceded her in death on September 16, 2001.       

     Survivors include five sons – Francis “Frank” (Nancy) Marshall of Marion, IN, Philip (Connie) Marshall of Huntington, IN, Jay (Claudia) Marshall of Leesburg, FL, Lynn (Mae) Marshall of Huntington, IN and David (Nancy) Marshall of Roanoke, IN; four daughters - Mrs. George (Rosemary) Barnes of LaFontaine, IN, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Slusser of Van Buren, IN, Mrs. Max (Lois) Spahr of Warren, IN and Mrs. Roger (Phyllis) Somers of Bluffton, IN; 26 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.         

     Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday (September 1, 2005) at Bailey-Love Mortuary.  Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday (September 2, 2005) with visitation from 9 am till time of service at College Park United Brethren in Christ Church, 1936 College Ave., Huntington.  Rev. Brent Birdsall will be officiating.  Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, IN.      

     In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Margaret Elnora Marshall may be made to College Park United Brethren in Christ Church or to Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN 46750
