Mae Archbold, age 86, died 1:20 a.m. Friday (July 25, 2008) at The Heritage of Huntington where she resided.

     Mrs. Archbold was a lifetime resident of Huntington and a homemaker. She also worked for IMCO of Huntington retiring in 1989 after 17 years.

     Mae was born on August 12, 1921 in Huntington County, the daughter of Edkar and Bertha (King) Hedrick.  She graduated from Monument City High School in 1939.  On May 3, 1941, Mae married Vaughn Archbold in Huntington and he preceded her in death on December 13, 2005.

     Survivors include two sons – Steve D. (Judy) Archbold of Ossian, IN and Scott E. Archbold of Huntington, two daughters – Cheryl C. (David) Crockett of Huntington and Karen D. (Greg) Batt of Huntington, one brother – James Hedrick of Huntington, one sister – Jean (Doyle) Paul of Andrews, 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Her parents, brother - Robert Hedrick, and sisters - Rheva Parrett and Devon Brown, preceded her in death.

     A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (August 2, 2008) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with visitation from 9 - 11 a.m. prior to the service.  Burial will be in the Mt. Etna Cemetery, Mt. Etna, IN.
