Remembrance Video for Louis A. Hohe

Louis A. Hohe, age 76, 1717 Guilford St., Huntington, IN, died Wednesday
(October 26, 2005) at 12:35 p.m. at his home residence.
Louie, a lifetime resident of Huntington, was the owner of the former Hohe Insurance Agency for over 30 years. He retired from Noll Printing in 1994 where he worked in sales and he worked at H.H. Niswander, Inc. He was a member of S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, the V. F. W. Post #2689 and the Knights of Columbus, all in Huntington, where he was a former Grand Knight.
Louie graduated from Huntington Catholic High School in 1947. He earned a degree in Economics and Business in 1951 from St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, IN. Mr. Hohe served as a Second Lieutenant with the United States Army during the Korean War.
Louie was born on October 15, 1929 in Huntington, a son of the late Louis A. and Elizabeth (Knoke) Hohe. He married Patricia A. Scheiber on April 21, 1951 in Huntington, IN.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years – Patricia A. Hohe of Huntington, IN; five sons – Lawrence A. (Carol) Hohe of Huntington, IN, Joseph M. (Susan) Hohe of Cincinnati, OH, John Edward (Jane) Hohe of Huntington, IN, Daniel L. (Carolyn) Hohe of Indianapolis, IN and Christopher D. (Cindy) Hohe of Huntington, IN; two daughters – Linda K. Hohe of Rockville, IN and Mrs. Steve (Ellen M.) LaRoe of Ft. Wayne, IN; a brother – Dr. J. William (Marjorie) Hohe of Huntington, IN; fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Three sisters, Helen Hohe Buse, Mary Hohe Scheiber and Dorothy Hohe Flora, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday (October 28, 2005) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with the recitation of the Rosary at 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Saturday (October 29, 2005) at S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, with Father Ron Rieder officiating. The V. F. W. Post #2689 will perform the military rites. A private internment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN, at a later date.
