Lora May Newsome, age 55, 2500 East 500 South, Warren, IN, died Thursday (August 31, 2006) at 12:04 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.

     Mrs. Newsome worked for the former H-K Porter Company now known as Friction Materials of Huntington from 1974-1999.    

     Mrs. Newsome was born November 27, 1950 in Huntington to Dale and Gladys (Burley) Reed.  She married Clarence E. Newsome on July 4, 1980 in Huntington. 

     Survivors include husband of 26 years – Clarence E. Newsome of Warren, IN; five sons – Clint (Angie) Newsome of Huntington, Brent Newsome of Huntington, Kent Newsome of Columbia City, IN, Clarence Newsome of Huntington, and Travis Newsome of Huntington; five daughters – April Newsome of Huntington, Mrs. Bill (Teddy) Wike of Huntington, Mrs. Dan (Chrystal) Burley of Tucson, Arizona, Pam Newsome of Roanoke, IN and Leasa Scheiman of Huntington; two brothers – William Reed of Huntington and Thomas Reed of Huntington; three sisters – Connie Holmes of Bippus, IN, Mrs. Crow (Susie) Nelson of Bippus, IN and Sharon Reed of Warsaw, IN; twenty-eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Her parents and a sister – Kay Smith, preceded her in death.

     There will be no visitation or funeral services.
