John H. Troyer, age 60, of Andrews, died at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday (August 27, 2008) at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.

     Mr. Troyer was a driver for Hardebeck Trucking from 2006-2008 and previously drove for First Fleet in Bluffton and JAT Trucking in Ft. Wayne.  He was a commissioned minister with the Evangel Association of Churches and Ministries. John was a member of the Encouraging Truth Ministries in Roann, IN where he taught Sunday school.

     John was born on April 17, 1948 in Goshen, IN the son of Jerry W. and Elizabeth (Miller) Troyer. He graduated from Middlebury High School in 1966 and married Janet E. McCoy on December 12, 1975 in Syracuse, IN.

     Survivors include his mother – Elizabeth (Norman) Mattocks of Middlebury; his wife – Janet E. Troyer of Andrews; two daughters – Jennifer (Mark) Jennings of Huntington and Jill Troyer of Andrews; one sister – Ruth (Jerry) Beasley of Warsaw, IN and three brothers – Gene (Marsha) Troyer of Ft. Wayne, Jerry (Mary Jo) Troyer of San Diego, CA and Phil (Nancy) Troyer of Middlebury.  Two granddaughters, Cierra Miller and Allison Jennings, both of Huntington survive.  His father preceded him in death.

     Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday (August 30, 2008) at Evangelical United Methodist Church, 1000 Flaxmill Road, Huntington.  Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. Saturday (August 30, 2008) at the church with Pastor Jackie Weaver, Rev. Dr. Marti Lundy and Rev. Jerry Troyer officiating.  Burial will be in the Andrews Riverside Cemetery.
