Mighty Joe "Joey" Deaton was born June 7, 1999.  He took a breath, opened his wings, and left us on February 17, 2008 at 1:40 am.

     Joe was strong, brave, and stubborn.  He battled severe epilepsy his entire life.  Joe never gave up on life, and we never gave up on him...ever.

     He was preceded in death by his mother, Harley, and his brother, Tucker.  He leaves behind many sad hearts and also many friends.  Paul and Shari and his best friend Maggie May, all his neighbors, Doc and Mrs. Scheiber, all the staff who took such good care of him, Shane, Scott, Emma, Katie, Aunt Tricia, Paul and Mance, will miss him very much.

     Run with the wind, Mighty Joe.  Some day, we'll catch up with you.

     To live in the hearts of others we leave behind is not to die.
