Obituaries   

     Jennie L. Bixler, age 50, 2795 North 700 West, Andrews, IN, died Friday (August 12, 2005) at 1:45 p.m. at her home.

     Mrs. Bixler was a secretary for the Education Department at Huntington University for over 15 years.  Prior to that, she worked as an abstracter for the Madison County Abstract Company in Anderson, IN.  Mrs. Bixler was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Huntington, where she was active, and dearly loved, performing in dramas, singing in the choir, as well as, doing solos. 

     Mrs. Bixler was born on November 27, 1954 in Frankton, IN, the daughter of Harold James and Annabelle (Little) Brown. She married Daniel M. Bixler on June 10, 1973 in Alexandria, IN.

     Survivors include her husband of 32 years - Daniel M. Bixler of Andrews; one son – Jeremy Bixler of Andrews; one daughter - Mrs. Patrick (Alison) Keane of Chicago, IL; two sisters – Rosalie Brown of Huntington and Mrs. Phil (Julie) Etchison of Alexandria, IN.         

     Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Sunday (August 14, 2005) in the First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Road, Huntington, IN.  Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday (August 15, 2005) at the church with 1 hour of visitation before the service.  Rev. Kevin Dunlop will officiate.  Burial will be in the Andrews Riverside Cemetery, Andrews, IN.

     In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jennie L. Bixler may be made to the donor’s choice or to Parkview Home Health Care in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN 46750.
