Remembrance Video for Harold J. Overholser
Harold J. Overholser, age 59, of Ft. Wayne, died at 5:38 p.m.
Thursday (February 28, 2008) at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice
Home in Ft. Wayne.
Mr. Overholser was a truck driver for Huntington Ready Mix, then Hiner Transport in Huntington from 1972 till his retirement in 2005. He served as a Huntington County Sheriff’s Reserve Officer in the late 1970’s.
Harold was born on November 16, 1948 in Huntington, the son of Walter E. and Nettie Jane (Howes) Overholser. Harold was a 1969 graduate of Huntington County Community High School. Harold married Cathy A. (Paules) on March 22, 1980 in York, PA.
Survivors include his wife – Cathy A. Overholser of Ft. Wayne; three brothers – Richard E. (Lois) Overholser of North Manchester, Robert L. (Virginia) Overholser of Huntington, and Mark A. (Rhonda L.) Overholser of Huntington; a half-brother – John E. Overholser of Logansport; two half-sisters – Wilma (John) Lictenberger of Wren, OH and Mary Ellen Bitter of South Hutchinson, KS.
Visitation will be 2 – 7 p.m. Monday (March 3, 2008) at Bailey-Love Mortuary. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday (March 4, 2008) at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Rev. Randy Adams, Rev. James Riggs, and Del Hamon officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
