Goldie Maria Gard, age 58, 537 Riverside Drive, Huntington, died Sunday (August 31, 2008) at 6:00 p.m. at the Hospice Home in Ft. Wayne, IN.

     Goldie received her G.E.D. from Ivy Tech of Ft. Wayne in 1982, also an Activities Certificate from Purdue University. Goldie moved to Huntington in 1968 from Gary IN. She was a self employed Professional Dog Groomer (Goldie’s Dog Grooming) for over 16 years working out of her home. Prior to that Goldie managed the Huntington County Humane Shelter.  Goldie was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, Huntington.

     Goldie was born on January 18, 1950 in Gary, IN,  the daughter of Myron and Ellen (Kostelnick) Fulton.

     Survivors include her mother – Ellen Kostelnick Fulton of Huntington; one sister – Mrs. Dave (Myra) Okuly of Huntington; and a companion – Robert L. Harney of Huntington.  She is preceded in death by her father – Myron Fulton and a son – Christopher Mooney.

     Visitation will be 12 – 2 p.m. on Wednesday. The funeral service will then be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday (September 3, 2008) at Bailey-Love Mortuary 35 West Park Drive, Huntington. with Rev. Richard Bunnell officiating.  Burial will take place in the Lancaster Cemetery, Lancaster, IN.
